Rock On Zariz has bounced back as good horses do with a win at Canberra and recorded her third win in four starts.
Two wins at Sapphire Coast and Randwick prior to her third placing at Canterbury last start where she had to do too much work from back in the field on a leader biased track, she was better suited back to the small field and rated nicely by Rachel Hunt she made light work of her rivals.
Bouncing out well and ridden neutral from the alley, She settled fourth one out one back at a genuine speed and approaching the bend peeled out three wide to pour on the pressure on the leaders.
She let-down strongly on the heavy going and put the race to bed a long way out to reflect her short odds of $2.20fav, scoring a 2.3L win on Cumberland Range ($11) with Hercegovska a head away in third ($4.40 )
The Zariz filly has done a tremendous job in her short career and what some people seem to forget is only her second preparation. Owners have been taken from a Cowra placing to a Randwick win in five months and i’m sure she is only just scraping the surface of her true capabilities.
