Red Hot Therese.

Spread the love

Therese pinged the lids and never looked back, running the field a merry dance as she went all the way to score a well deserved win at the Sapphire Coast.

The win came hours after the Joseph Jones team announced they will be constructing a 25 box satellite stable at the track to be ready mid 2017.

Therese was clearly the best out from the wide draw, landing a clear two lengths in front of the pack and crossing to the rail after they went 100m.

She showed no signs of stopping, holding a four length margin on the rest of the field as they straightened for home under Apprentice Rachel Hunt who was having her second sit on the mare after they were narrowly defeated two starts ago.

Holding her advantage to the wire, she went away to win by two lengths at odds of $4F at the end on Freedom Call ( $7) with Rushman a nose away in third ($12).

Owners Howard and Judy have been rewarded for their patience after giving the mare another preparation, with the commands mare reeling off two wins and two seconds from her last four starts. The pai brought this girl along with Darts Away who also races with the JJR team, having their property at Picton.

The win gave the stable a race to race double for the day after Token Of Love scored earlier on.
